Bellville Bluebonnet Alert! | FM 2754

Oh. my. word. Y’all look at this GORGEOUS bluebonnet field! We have not seen a picture of a bluebonnet field mixed in with that many Indian Paintbrushes all season long. Sweet!

A gi-nor-mous thank you to Debbie for sending in this bluebonnet sightings report. We have emailed Debbie confirming some of the field’s details such as more specific location details and whether or not the photographs are recent. And if the photos are recent, then … boy howdy! … y’all need to get to that field for another session of pictures in the bluebonnets.

The field is located on FM 2754 which is located between Hwy 159 and Hwy 36 just northwest of Bellville, Texas.

Debbie not only tells us the field is at peak bloom stage, the blanket is thick, but it’s an awesome Kid & Pet Friendly Bluebonnet Field as well because the owner is allowing the public into the bluebonnets. Woo hoo!

Debbie says, and we quote, “One of the prettiest fields I have seen, a must see!!!!” And we agree!

Hurry and enjoy! : )

We are confirming the photograph’s date with the person who reported the sighting. At this time, we are going to assume this is a recent sightings and photo. Yes, that is one gorgeous bluebonnet field! : )

  2. I’d be surprised if that is this year. I was on 2754 last week and there were few signs of bluebonnets.

From what we’ve been told by the person who sent in the sightings report, the photos were taken last Saturday and the field was gorgeous. She did mention it was on private property so we don’t know if it’s a little difficult to see from the road, etc. We’re not familiar with that road so we’re not able to put in our own two cents. We do have Facebook followers who are talking about going to the field this weekend. Hopefully, one will send in an update on the field.

Went yesterday, April 20th! This field is at the corner of 159 and FM 2754. Still a beautiful field, but hurry. Lovely mix of other wildflowers too.

    • Did the field get plowed on sunday? Is it visible from the road? How do you get onto it? Do you have to make arrangements with the owner?

  4. Is it open to the public? I live in Pasadena an want to make the drive….but its aways if no access.

  5. I was unable to find this field. Does anyone know if it was visible from the FM?

    • My wife and I drove up from Houston today, April 22nd and took a bunch of photos. It’s a nice field, probably the best we saw today. And it’s ACTUALLY closest to the intersection of State Hwy 159. If you’re on FM 2754, there is a tree and little path that we drove up right before the flowers begin. It was not as vibrant as the top photo, but the LOWER the angle of your photos, the more intense they look. Worth the stop. Last year’s Bluebonnets were better, but not complaining.

  7. I’m planning a professional photo shoot with my dogs for tomorrow. We’re coming from Houston and I’ve heard mixed reports on whether this field exists or not and whether there are this many flowers or just a few flowers now. Does anybody have more specific answers? Do you need to get the landowner to let you on the property and is there a charge? Is the landowner home all day? I’m in declining health and want to get these photos done right for family.

    Thanks,

    Ashley

Sorry, we don’t have any additional information other than what was provided by the person who reported the field. We’ve asked her several times for more specific location details but she hasn’t responded.

Hi! I was wondering if you ever heard back on specific info on this particular field?! Will landowners allows us. Landowner’s contact info?
I would love to take my group of seniors on our little bus!
        Thank you!

Unfortunately, we never did hear back from the person who reported the field last year. We never had a chance to go to the field ourselves to check into it. Good luck! : )
