We cruised Highway 79 between Taylor and Rockdale to check on the bluebonnets. Didn’t really see much of anything until we were coming into Rockdale from the west.
And then we saw this really sweet patch of roadside bluebonnets. They were getting a little beaten by the dry winds of the traffic blazing past but they were definitely thick and tall.
These bluebonnets were at a steep bend in the road on the south side of Highway 79 just outside Rockdale city limits. There was another nice patch of bluebonnets further west on Highway 79 toward Taylor. They were probably less than a mile away from this patch and were also on the south side of the highway.
Enjoy! : )
